Dear Merry, This is what I would like to write: "Marie wanted her many loved family members and friends to know what was happening and be able to check on her progress if and when they chose to. To everybody’s total shock and surprise, she was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer, already in Stage 4 and broadly metastasized. Her options were to do nothing and get increasingly more sick until a quite early death OR try chemotherapy which has a good chance OR reduce her symptoms very quickly and give her a few more comfortable months or even years of life.
After much deliberation, she decided to give it a good shot with the reassurance that she could stop it any time she chose. She will lose her hair, (the thing her vanity makes her cringe)—but Hey, it’s worth a shot! There are still matching hats, necklaces and earrings to soften the image.
She has had her first treatments and will have the second this Monday—good days and bad days alternate. Following is the group of names for the distribution list.

(Since I had already published the 1st blog post I’ve left this one exactly the way Marie sent it to me for all of her friends and family)
